Clubhouse News Country Springs Weekly School Newsletter

Week of 10/9/2026

Dear All Star Families,

As part of the California ShakeOut, Country Springs Elementary is committed to ensuring the safety and preparedness of our students and staff in the event of an earthquake. On Thursday, October 15th at 10:15 a.m., our school will participate in the statewide earthquake drill, joining millions of students and adults across California in practicing important emergency response procedures.

Throughout the year, and especially during ShakeOut activities, students learn and practice essential safety skills such as Drop, Cover, and Hold On, evacuation procedures, and emergency preparedness protocols. These drills help build confidence and ensure that students and staff know how to respond quickly and safely during an emergency.

We appreciate our families' partnership as we work together to create a safe learning environment for all. We encourage families to take time to discuss emergency preparedness plans at home so everyone is ready should an earthquake occur. Together, we can help keep our school community safe and prepared.

Counselor's Corner

HELLO OCTOBER! We have an exciting month ahead of us here at Country Springs Elementary! This month, we will be hosting our Red Ribbon Week and Literature Day. October is a wonderful time to reflect on what we’re thankful for and to help students build awareness of their feelings, actions, and choices. We want our All Stars to be equipped with self-confidence, resilience and problem solving skills since these are the tools that help us bounce back from challenges, believe in ourselves, and find solutions when things get tough.Whether it’s a tricky math problem, a friendship conflict, or a moment of self-doubt, we remind students:

  • “I can do hard things.”

  • “Mistakes help me learn.”

  • “Asking for help is a smart choice.”

Let’s keep encouraging our students to try, reflect, and grow, because every challenge is a chance to become stronger. I will be hosting a couple of Wellness Wednesdays this month where students are invited to join me for calming activities and conversations that support emotional wellness. Make sure to model gratitude at home: Try a “thankful jar” where family members write one thing they’re grateful for each day. It’s a great way to build connection and positivity! Please reach out to me if you have any additional questions or concerns

Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We look forward to another amazing year together!

Lost and Found - LABEL ALL ITEMS

We’re excited to introduce a new system to help keep our Lost and Found organized and efficient. At the end of each month, all unclaimed items will be cleared out and donated to support families in need. This not only helps us maintain a tidy campus but also ensures that forgotten items find a second life.

To minimize the number of lost items, we kindly ask that all personal belongings—including jackets, water bottles, and lunch pails—are clearly labeled with your child’s name. Labeled items are much more likely to be returned quickly!

We also encourage parents to remind their children to check the Lost and Found regularly. As part of this new system, we’ll be incorporating student reminders at school to help build this habit.

Next donation will be on October 30, 2026.

Thank you for partnering with us to keep our school environment organized, responsible, and sustainable!

Morning Procedures and Parking Lot Etiquette

Please be sure to follow our pick up and drop off expectations to keep our All Stars safe! We appreciate your patience in waiting to drop off and pick up your child; please be courteous to one another and the staff out on duty. All drivers must remain in their cars.

For safety reasons, please use cross-walks and sidewalks only. Do not cross the driveways.
