Thank you to all parents who attended Back to School Night! If you were unable to attend, or if you would like to become more involved, we invite you to volunteer this year. Opportunities include serving as a Room Parent, teaching monthly art lessons through Art Palette, assisting at school events, or taking on a leadership role as a Lead Room Parent.

Sign up to volunteer: https://forms.gle/xUp9exGxeKapm2Dx6

For questions, contact the Room Parent Coordinators at countryspringsroomparents@gmail.com.

We are also seeking parent volunteers and representatives for the following groups:

  • ELAC Parent Nominations
  • PFA Volunteer Opportunities
  • LCAP Parent Representatives

A very important meeting for our English Learner parents is scheduled for Monday, 8/31/26 @ 2:45pm. All parents of English Learners are invited to attend to learn how to better support their student. More details are in the article below.

Please note that there is no fast food allowed to be brought to school and/or dropped off in office for students. Breakfast and lunch are provided free of charge and students will be given a meal if they do not have one from home.

Finally, due to the heat, we have been inside the Hall of Fame as needed for lunch and recess. Please make sure your student has plenty of water, sunscreen, and appropriate clothing for this very warm weather. We look forward to a cooler week next week.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We look forward to another great week at Country Springs Elementary!

English Learners Parent Meeting

Country Springs Elementary School is excited to invite all families of English Learners to our upcoming English Learners Parent Meeting on Monday, August 31, 2026, at 2:45 p.m. in the Hall of Fame.

At Country Springs, we believe that a strong partnership between home and school is one of the most important factors in a child's success. This meeting is a wonderful opportunity for parents and guardians to learn more about the support available for our English Learners, connect with school staff, and discover ways to become actively involved in their child's educational journey.

During the meeting, families will:

  • Learn about the English Learner program and services offered at Country Springs.
  • Receive information about academic expectations and student progress.
  • Meet school staff who support English Learners and their families.
  • Share ideas, ask questions, and provide input that helps strengthen our school community.
  • Discover opportunities to volunteer and participate in school events and activities.

We encourage all parents to attend and become partners in helping their children achieve success. Your involvement makes a difference. When families and schools work together, students are more confident, engaged, and prepared to reach their full potential.

We look forward to welcoming you and working together to support every student’s growth and achievement.

ELAC Parent Nominations

The English Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC) is a school-level committee comprised of parents, staff and community members designated to advise school officials on English learner programs and services. ELAC members are elected by parents/guardians of English learners. Voting will occur during the English Learners Parent Meeting on Monday, August 31 at 2:45pm. Family Engagement Policy and School Compacts

Our school's 2026-2027 Family Engagement Policy and School-Parent-Student Compact(s) are available for review on our school website. These documents outline our shared commitment to supporting student success through strong partnerships between families, students, and the school. We encourage all families to review these important resources at their convenience. Thank you for your continued partnership in your child's education.

Device Protection Plan

To help families protect their student's school-issued Chromebook, we are offering an optional Chromebook Device Protection Plan for students in grades 4-6.

For $40 per year, the plan covers all Chromebook breakage incidents throughout the school year, providing peace of mind and protection from unexpected repair costs.

Without the protection plan, families will be responsible for a $50 fee for each damage incident. For many families, the Device Protection Plan can be a cost-effective way to avoid multiple repair charges during the year.

Plan Highlights:

  • Available to students in Grades 4-6
  • Optional enrollment
  • Covers all Chromebook breakage for the school year
  • Cost: $40 per student, per year
  • Without coverage, each damage incident costs $50
  • Last day to purchase: August 31, 2026

We encourage families to take advantage of this opportunity before the enrollment deadline.

For complete details, please see the flyer or contact the school office with any questions.

LCAP Advisory Committee

Country Springs is seeking parent and community members to serve on a committee that provides valuable input on our District's Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP). Committee feedback plays an important role in helping ensure we meet the needs of all students, with a particular focus on supporting our English learners.

Please review the attached flyer for additional information. The first committee meeting will be held on September 15, 2026, at the Professional Development Center II, 4545 Danito Ct., Chino, CA.

Additional meeting dates are:

  • October 20, 2026
  • November 10, 2026
  • March 2, 2027
  • April 20, 2027

If you are interested in serving on this committee, please contact Mrs. Hyland via email: monica_hyland@chino.k12.ca.usby August 24, 2026.

We encourage you to participate and help shape the future of our students' educational experience.

Counselor's Corner

HELLO ALL STAR PARENTS! Welcome to the 2026/2027 school year. I hope you had a summer full of fun, rest, and wonderful memories. My name is Ms. Ruiz and I am so excited to be back here at Country Springs this year as your School Counselor. It’s been amazing to see students back on campus, ready to take on the year with curiosity and enthusiasm! Our classrooms are already full of smiles, questions, and wonder—these amazing kids are soaking up all the goodness a fresh school year has to offer. We’ve planned so many exciting events this school year, and I’m thrilled to share them with your students!! This month we will be focusing on Healthy Minds Classroom Lessons. We will talk about managing emotions, feelings and coping skills to go alongside it. My door is always open to families and students who need a listening ear, a problem-solving partner, or just someone to talk to. Feel free to say hello when you see me around campus or reach out to me via email at julia_ruiz@chino.k12.ca.us. I’m excited to get to know you all and help make this school year the best it can be!

Also, don't forget to recognize and reward your All Stars at home! Use the At-Home Trading Card to celebrate students who are following family expectations and making positive choices.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We look forward to another amazing year together!

Lost and Found - LABEL ALL ITEMS

We’re excited to introduce a new system to help keep our Lost and Found organized and efficient. At the end of each month, all unclaimed items will be cleared out and donated to support families in need. This not only helps us maintain a tidy campus but also ensures that forgotten items find a second life.

To minimize the number of lost items, we kindly ask that all personal belongings—including jackets, water bottles, and lunch pails—are clearly labeled with your child’s name. Labeled items are much more likely to be returned quickly!

We also encourage parents to remind their children to check the Lost and Found regularly. As part of this new system, we’ll be incorporating student reminders at school to help build this habit.

Next donation will be on August 28, 2026.

Thank you for partnering with us to keep our school environment organized, responsible, and sustainable!

Morning Procedures and Parking Lot Etiquette

Please be sure to follow our pick up and drop off expectations to keep our All Stars safe! We appreciate your patience in waiting to drop off and pick up your child; please be courteous to one another and the staff out on duty. All drivers must remain in their cars.

For safety reasons, please use cross-walks and sidewalks only. Do not cross the driveways.
