Clubhouse News Country Springs Weekly School Newsletter

Week of 8/14/2026

Dear All Star Families,

What an exciting start to the school year! We are thrilled to share that Country Springs Elementary has had a wonderful and successful first week at the Ballpark. Our students have done an outstanding job learning new routines, building relationships with classmates and staff, and demonstrating positive attitudes as they settle into the new school year. Thank you to our families for your partnership and support in making this first week such a success!

As we continue our year together, we want to remind everyone that being on time each day is essential. Arriving promptly ensures students are ready to learn from the start of the school day and helps establish strong attendance habits. We also greatly appreciate your attention to and cooperation with all parking lot and drop-off/pick-up safety procedures. Following traffic patterns, using designated crossing areas, and exercising patience during busy times helps keep our students, families, and staff safe.

We also encourage families to become involved in our school community. There are several important opportunities to participate and have your voice heard. Please see the articles below for information regarding:

  • English Learner Parent Meeting
  • ELAC Parent Nominations
  • School Site Council (SSC) Parent Nominations

We value family engagement and hope many of you will consider serving in one of these important roles.

Back to School Night is coming up on August 26th at 4:45pm - 6:00pm. Also the PFA Silent Auction is starting on August 26th and concluding on August 31st, please see the article below for more details.

Device Protection Plan

To help families protect their student's school-issued Chromebook, we are offering an optional Chromebook Device Protection Plan for students in grades 4-6.

For $40 per year, the plan covers all Chromebook breakage incidents throughout the school year, providing peace of mind and protection from unexpected repair costs.

Without the protection plan, families will be responsible for a $50 fee for each damage incident. For many families, the Device Protection Plan can be a cost-effective way to avoid multiple repair charges during the year.

Plan Highlights:

  • Available to students in Grades 4-6
  • Optional enrollment
  • Covers all Chromebook breakage for the school year
  • Cost: $40 per student, per year
  • Without coverage, each damage incident costs $50
  • Last day to purchase: August 31, 2026

We encourage families to take advantage of this opportunity before the enrollment deadline.

For complete details, please see the flyer or contact the school office with any questions.

Lost and Found - LABEL ALL ITEMS

We’re excited to introduce a new system to help keep our Lost and Found organized and efficient. At the end of each month, all unclaimed items will be cleared out and donated to support families in need. This not only helps us maintain a tidy campus but also ensures that forgotten items find a second life.

To minimize the number of lost items, we kindly ask that all personal belongings—including jackets, water bottles, and lunch pails—are clearly labeled with your child’s name. Labeled items are much more likely to be returned quickly!

We also encourage parents to remind their children to check the Lost and Found regularly. As part of this new system, we’ll be incorporating student reminders at school to help build this habit.

Next donation will be on August 28, 2026.

Thank you for partnering with us to keep our school environment organized, responsible, and sustainable!

Counselor's Corner

HELLO ALL STAR PARENTS! Welcome to the 2026/2027 school year. I hope you had a summer full of fun, rest, and wonderful memories. My name is Ms. Ruiz and I am so excited to be back here at Country Springs this year as your School Counselor. It’s been amazing to see students back on campus, ready to take on the year with curiosity and enthusiasm! Our classrooms are already full of smiles, questions, and wonder—these amazing kids are soaking up all the goodness a fresh school year has to offer. We’ve planned so many exciting events this school year, and I’m thrilled to share them with your students!! This month we will be focusing on Healthy Minds Classroom Lessons. We will talk about managing emotions, feelings and coping skills to go alongside it. My door is always open to families and students who need a listening ear, a problem-solving partner, or just someone to talk to. Feel free to say hello when you see me around campus or reach out to me via email at julia_ruiz@chino.k12.ca.us. I’m excited to get to know you all and help make this school year the best it can be!

Also, don't forget to recognize and reward your All Stars at home! Use the At-Home Trading Card to celebrate students who are following family expectations and making positive choices.
