Clubhouse News Country Springs Weekly School Newsletter

Week of 4/17/26

Dear All Star Families,.

Best of luck to our Country Springs Debate Team as they compete in their final tournament this evening at Chino High School. The team has enjoyed a very successful season, and we are incredibly proud of their hard work and dedication. Go All Stars!

The 2026 Band Showcase will take place on Tuesday, April 21st at 6:00 PM in the Ayala High School Gymnasium. Our students have worked incredibly hard on their music this year, and we are excited to share what promises to be a wonderful performance..

Students in grades 3–6 are preparing for the California State Testing (CAASPP), scheduled for April 20 – May 15. Your child's teacher will send you the testing schedule for your reference.

Attendance is incredibly important—especially during testing. We want all students at school and on time each day so they can do their very best on their assessments. Please help us support your child’s success by planning any appointments outside of these testing windows. We do not interrupt class sessions during testing unless there is an emergency. Daily attendance and punctual arrival are essential—let’s work together to finish the year strong!

Thank you for your continued support.

Warm regards,

Monica Hyland

PFA Nominations

Our school thrives because of the dedication, energy, and partnership of our parent community—and we invite you to help shape that future by nominating parents for the 2026–27 Parent Faculty Association (PFA) Board.

Serving on the PFA Board is a wonderful opportunity to support our students, collaborate with faculty and staff, and help strengthen our school community. We encourage all parents to consider nominating themselves or another parent who would be a great representative and advocate for our families.

Nominations are now open and must be submitted by April 28.
Please use the Google nomination form linked below to submit your nomination.

Thank you for your continued involvement and support. We truly value your partnership and look forward to working together in the year ahead.

Fan Appreciation Night!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Fan Appreciation Night! It was an exciting afternoon, and it was truly wonderful to see so many families celebrating together in style.

We are incredibly grateful for the countless hours our parent volunteers generously donate to support our school. Your time, energy, and dedication make such a positive difference for our students. Thank you for all that you do for Country Springs and our amazing All Stars!

April is Autism Awareness Month

April is Autism Acceptance Month, a time to recognize, celebrate, and support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Autism is a neurological difference that influences how some people communicate, interact, learn, and experience the world. Because autism is a spectrum, each individual has unique strengths, interests, perspectives, and ways of learning that enrich our school community.

As a school community, we can show acceptance by practicing kindness, patience, understanding, and inclusion every day. Wednesday, April 8, was World Autism Awareness Day, and in honor of this day, we engaged in discussions and activities that help bring autism awareness and acceptance to the forefront. Together, we can celebrate neurodiversity and create a school environment where every student feels valued, respected, and supported for who they are.

Counselor's Corner

Happy April All Star Parents! It is starting to feel like spring and we are heading into the state testing season and our All Stars have been working hard and showing great strides in their learning. We are so excited to celebrate all of their accomplishments in these last two months of the school year. As our students begin to look towards the end of the year, helping them cultivate a growth mindset to finish out the year on a high note is so important.

A great article that is attached here goes over three great tips that parents and caregivers can implement at home to help their students get over that “end of year” slump! Those three tips include: 1. Focus on progress 2. Use that progress to motivate new learning and last but not least, 3. Connect your child’s learning to their own life.

Throughout the month of April, I will be visiting classrooms to talk about test taking strategies and skills so our students feel more confident and encouraged to excel while completing their state tests. Make sure your All Stars are getting a good night's rest, a healthy breakfast and encourage them to simply do their best.

Lost and Found UPDATE

We’re excited to introduce a new system to help keep our Lost and Found organized and efficient. At the end of each month, all unclaimed items will be cleared out and donated to support families in need. This not only helps us maintain a tidy campus but also ensures that forgotten items find a second life.

To minimize the number of lost items, we kindly ask that all personal belongings—including jackets, water bottles, and lunch pails—are clearly labeled with your child’s name. Labeled items are much more likely to be returned quickly!

We also encourage parents to remind their children to check the Lost and Found regularly. As part of this new system, we’ll be incorporating student reminders at school to help build this habit.

Items were donated on March 27, 2026. Next donation will be on April 24, 2026.

Thank you for partnering with us to keep our school environment organized, responsible, and sustainable!
