Greetings All Star Families,

Thank you for all the families who joined us for Literature Day! We know that the students all enjoyed the parade and dressing up as their favorite book character! We appreciate your support and enjoyed celebrating the season with you all. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped with Literature Day parties. The students truly enjoyed this special day!

As you know, Trimester 1 concluded on October 24th, and Report Cards will be sent home on Tuesday, November 4th. These documents provide valuable insight into your child’s progress and achievements so far this year. Please take time to review the report card carefully. If you have any questions or concerns, we encourage you to reach out directly to your child’s teacher. Open communication is key to supporting every student’s success.

Parents, please remember to bring your identification if you are coming on the Country Springs campus to volunteer in the class. We have a new system called Visitor Aware, and all parents must show ID in the office to be allowed on campus. Safety of students and staff is a priority at Country Springs.

Our amazing Country Springs Student Council is leading a heartfelt initiative to support Food for Life Ministry, and we need your help! From Wednesday, November 12 through Wednesday, November 19, we’ll be collecting non-perishable food donations to help families in need right here in our community.

Please drop off your donations in your homeroom. Every item counts and brings us closer to making a meaningful impact. Let’s come together and show the spirit of giving that makes Country Springs shine!

As a reminder, students in grades 3–6 must wear clothing that is appropriate for both school and physical education activities. Please ensure:

• Shorts and skirts provide adequate coverage (to middle of the thigh) and allow for active movement during PE.
• No Crop tops are allowed.
• Due to warm weather, a t-shirt should be worn under sweatshirts, and hoods may not be worn inside classrooms.
• Shoes must be suitable for PE and school activities—athletic shoes are best. Crocs are not allowed for safety reasons.

Students have all been reminded. If they are not dressed appropriately for school activities they may be asked to call home for shoes or clothing that is aligned with the dress code and they also will be issued a "strike".

As we enter fire season, we want to remind you that the safety of our students is our top priority. At Country Springs, we conduct monthly fire drills to ensure that all students and staff are prepared in the event of an emergency.

Dear GATE Families,

Thank you for your interest in our recent GATE Parent Meeting. If you were unable to attend, we want to ensure you still have access to the valuable information that was shared.

The presentation was led by Krista Landgraf, President of the California Association for the Gifted (CAG), and provided insightful guidance on supporting gifted learners both at home and in school.

The Country Springs PFA is having a Thinknlocal Fundraiser from 9/1/25 - 12/31/25. This is a great way to support our school by shopping and dining locally. Please download the app, dine and shop and upload your receipts. It's that easy!

November is here and the holidays are upon us! This month I am so excited to celebrate our students at our Trimester Awards and to see them shine with our HITS program. This month I will be working with our students on why GRATITUDE matters and the importance of it. “It’s not happiness that brings us gratitude. It’s gratitude that brings us happiness.” (Anonymous) The positive actions that come with being grateful are important for our students to know. Gratitude creates positive connections and increases the quality of relationships. Students will have opportunities to express gratitude and receive it also. November is a great time of year to tell someone you appreciate them. Some benefits of gratitude include increased happiness, stronger self control, deeper connections and enhanced well-being. Thursday November 13th is World Kindness Day and I am so excited for a fun filled activity I have planned for the students that day! Something fun that you can do with your students this month is The Family Gratitude (Skittles) Game which consists of 1. Use Skittles or something that is colorful (ex: straws) 2. Pick up at least 5 Skittles (you can use any number) 3. For each color picked up, share what you are thankful for. a. Red = Name a person you are thankful for b. Orange = Name a place you are thankful for c. Yellow = Name a food you are thankful for d. Green = Name a thing you are thankful for e. Purple = Name anything you are thankful for. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and I am so grateful to be able to work with your All Stars everyday!
